Welcome Fall! 

 

The leaves are changing and beginning to fall at Lake Junaluska and Dream Come Blue is bidding summer farewell.  Today we turned on the heat, checked out the gas logs, changed to winter curtains, and all the other items on our seasonal checklist.  The house is ready!  Come enjoy a cozy morning by the fireplace....hot tea on the deck rocking chairs...conversation on front porch...apple-picking...pumpkin-finding...meals around the table.  We are looking forward to our time in the mountains, and you should too!

Summer 2012

Welcome to Summer 2012!

The Summer season is in full swing and Dream Come Blue is very busy this summer.  We are booked all of July and into August.  We hope every one has a wonderful stay at our house and enjoy the Lake!

A Year in Review

We are about to close another year at our house and are very grateful to all of our wonderful renters from 2011. You took very good care of our house during your stay and we hope you enjoyed your time at Lake Junaluska.  Thank you, also, to every one who signed our guestbook.  We love reading your comments.  You are also able to post a "review" of our house as a renter on the Cottage Rentals website.  Doing this would be very helpful to us as a way to create more interest for future renters.  Please email Michelle Ashe with your review if you are able (mashe@lakejunaluska.com).  We have worked hard to continue improving the house this year by tinting windows, adding leaf guards on the gutters, landscaping and constructing a new parking spot, adding the washer/dryer, finishing some window treatments (more to come!), staining all of the decks/porches and continuing to work to make our house a home and a wonderful place for renters.

The house had a dusting of snow but we weren't able to get a picture, but look forward to a snowy morning there sometime this winter....sipping coffee while looking out the back deck...enjoying a meal at the table...maybe even hearing hoof steps on the rooftop!

Summer is Coming!

We are eagerly anticipating our second summer at Lake Junaluska! We have recently been working on some finishing details at the house including staining the back deck (top level), staining the front porch, and staining our beautiful front door. We have added some furniture and some hand-made window treatments. We will also be installing a new washer and dryer in the powder room next week! Summer is coming...............time for ferns and annuals soon!
